BnD knives.....

I was interested in buying a 'wallhanger' from one of my favorite video games, the buster sword from final fantasy from Bnd. I wasnt expecting unsing it or anything it was just the plain fact that it's my favorite video game. after taking a good look around on the internet, all the websites selling the same blade (or picture anyways) were selling it for about 80$ cheaper and they didnt have the same specs as he had gave me at BnD. so i sent him an email informing him of this and as well as sending him the links to be able to compare. he answered back saying that it wasnt any of the ones i had shown him and i had sent him quite a few diffrent ones to try and see which one it would be. ends up like it seems he is the only one around that has that version because even just through looking at reviews, magazines, shops, fan based or manufacturers website i could find anything anywhere with the same specs he gave me... and i asked around as well. when i simply asked before ordering if he had any kind of money back guarantee if i wasnt satisfied i got a very crude and short email stating 'NO!!!' i thought it was very rude of him and made the whole thing quite sketchy to me so i didnt order from him and would suggest no one to ever try to deal with him as he doesnt like being asked questions at all. i'm guessing he knows there are people out there that just want these so badly that they wont care what theyre paying for as long as it sounds good and he doesnt like to deal with people who actually are enthusiast and are looking to get some bang for their buck in any way.

so here's what he has advertised on his website...
http://bndknives.com/bndknives/Details_BDV11.htm

and here's another one in canada as well but for 40$ cheaper and, i might be wrong, it seems to be exactly the same picture.

i might just be a bit paranoid but it just seems that they freaked out for nothing so it made them look quite sketchy to me.

thanks for your time

About B nd D knives in St.catharines Ontario

I would have to agree with you on many of the points about BnD Knives. The prices at that store are easily anywhere from $30-$100 more than ANY other place you will find; in Canada or online, as well, many of the swords in the shop are actually 'knock offs' of the real ones, and higher priced!

The man (and sometimes woman) who work there (more than likely the owners as they are the only two I've ever seen there) 1. Definitely do not like to be asked questions about the quality, authenticity, or over-priced tags on their swords. 2. They don't seem to know much about swords in general in the first place, this might explain the reluctance to answer questions.

Having said that, they also sell knives there, and many of them are VERY well priced. They have 'name brands' like UZI, S&W, COLT and others, however I haven't ever really tried to authenticate if the knives were actually UZI or just a knock off.

I would honestly have to say that SBG.com is the BEST place (for quality and price) that I have seen on the net or anywhere else. I am looking very forward to purchasing some swords myself from here in the next several months. For all those in the Niagara Region looking for swords, stay here at this site and read the reviews, watch the videos, and decide for yourselves.

I recommended BnD to my brother as he was looking for a certain knife and wanted to order from a Canadian seller with a physical store as well as an online one. I talked with BnD by email and telephone before my brother ordered and everything went well- I liked their answers and service seemed good. Just a few days after getting the knife, a folder, it started to fail on him by over-opening and getting stuck. I contacted BnD and they pretty much blamed my brother, would not accept the knife back, and gave me a phone number for the manufacturer which does not work in Canada.

Essentially they were all over the customer service to make the sale, then did a 180 and snubbed me after the fact. I guess they aren't looking for repeat business... too bad for them.
My brother, who is in law enforcement, would have been able to recommend them to his co workers, and would have even overlooked theissue with his knife, had they only been more helpful after the fact.

I felt like I had steered my brother the wrong way and was upset with myself for allowing this.

I ended up buying what I would call an 'el cheapo' knife from an online store based in China, for one tenth the price of the BnD knife, and I sent that knife to my brother. Well, that knife turned out to be wayy better, has held up for over a year now with no problems, and 4-5 of his policemen friends have their own ones now too.
