FIND A SWORD SYSTEM RESULT:"I'm on a REALLY tight budget, is there anything here for me?"If you mean something like a decent looking reproduction of a military sword for $40 or a unique, durable and exotic blade for $20, yes - there is something for you like that! (though to some degree you may have to stretch your definition of what makes a 'sword' a 'sword' for some one of them)..One great bargain buy is the $40 Civil War Saber from Atlanta Cutlery! While it is not a perfect reproduction, for $40 you get a decently made high carbon steel blade with solid fittings (and while it is unsharpened, you can of course easily sharpen it yourself) If your budget can extend closer to $100, the Windlass 1860 Cavalry Saber is double the price of the Atlanta Cutlery one, but also double the historical accuracy. But perhaps the cheapest, and best value for money buy is the more exotic Cold Steel Machete range for around $15 to $20 a piece! While these blades might not suit a purist, and as mentioned may need you to stretch the definition of what makes a sword, they are far from your usual boring 'garden variety' Machete and sure can be a lot of good clean fun!
