Ito Cleaning

QUESTION: I've had my Musashi Zetsurin Katana for some time now, and the wrap has gathered some dirt. Is there a simple way to clean it, or do I need chemicals? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

ANSWER: Hi Kevin,

Yeah - that is a common problem with white ito. The best thing to do is to use something like 'sneakerwhite' - a product used for cleaning Tennis shoes - should make it as good as new again! :-)
