Katanas: Choice of 3

by Orrie
(England)

Hi, I just found your site today, it's fantastic! :) I was hoping you could give me some advice on choosing between these three: (or suggest something better of course).

>Paul Chen Hanwei Miyamoto Musashi XL Light Katana
Blade: High-carbon steel

>Paul Chen Hanwei Bushido Katana
(Also has a matching Wakizashi and Tanto which I like)
Blade: K120C powder steel

>Cheness Cutlery Type 12 - 9260 Spring Steel "Tenchi"
Blade: 9260 Silicon Alloy Carbon Spring Steel

The prices vary a little but I don't mind paying extra for better quality.
An important thing to note is, as far as I am aware, here in the UK it is only possible to import a curved-blade sword if it is traditionally made (or you can prove you are a martial artist etc. which is more complicated) which I *think* these pass as.

Thanks!

Orrie.

ANSWER: Hi Orrie,

All of the above are good choices for different reasons. However, there is one current recommendation on a limited edition sword that is on offer that you may find to be the best value deal around at the moment.

Check it out here (shipping to the UK is only $35 too!).

Hope this helps.

- Paul
