Musashi wind katana is no longer sold

QUESTION: I saw your review of the Wind Katana, (and the poison ivy katana) by musashi, and decided on purchasing one from trueswords

I now see, however, that trueswords no longer sells this katana, and the only other musashi swords are out of my desired price range (100-200)

I do not really want to spend a full 200 on a single sword just yet (i'm new to this, and it would be awful if I damaged an expensive weapon)

are there any swords similar to (in preformance and design) the musashi wind katana that you would recommend?

thanks

ANSWER: I know a lot of people (including myself) who have had good experiences with Musashi's sub US$100 line. They aren't in the same league as the Wind Katana, but they have a good reputation for delivering good quality at a low price and make a decent first sword to get started with.

P.S. Yes, very sad to hear that the Elite series of Chris Zhou made swords have been discontinued. They were great while they lasted, will have to archive the reviews... :,_(

Me again
by: slayerofDarkness

oh, sorry...I was thinking of the wind DRAGON, not the musashi wind...But I'm sure if you take a look at some of the other 179 dollar musashi's you'll find 1 that you like. They (Musashi) seem to have improved so that all of they're $150-$200 swords are the quality of the wind katana. Hope this helps! (more than my last statement, at least, lol)

They are STILL AVALIABLE
by: SlayerofDarkness

Check out SwordsofMight.com and enter 'musashi wind' into the search engine on the left side of the site. They still carry this sword with 3 different color saya/ito wraps for only $80. $30 more than it used to be, but still very much worth it. SoM is completely trustworthy as well, so you won't be ripped off.
Hope this helps,
