Music on the Cheness Cutlery Cutting video

QUESTION: I have a Cheness "Shura" Katana, I researched swords for awhile and came upon the sword forum Int'l website. After the review of Cheness swords and the cool video I jumped online and bought one. I was pleasently surprised when it came! My wife thought I was nuts because I work at night and usually sleep during the day...

But I stayed up most of the days until the day the UPS guy showed up. I wonder if he was thinking "This guy is weird" because while I was signing for the package I had a smile as big as Texas!!! The Shura is one beast of a sword. My question is: in the test cutting video there is this awesome song playing and I was wondering who it is by and what the name of the song is.

I also want to know how to get scratches out of the Saya if that's possible.

ANSWER: Hi James,

Thanks for your kind feedback! :-)

There are a couple of vids with music featuring Cheness swords on my site, though I think you are referring to this one:

If that is the case, the music is by the Prodigy, with the track called 'One Love (edit), the Narcotic Suite'.

As to the saya, there are a couple of ways to get any dings and scratches out of it (though many people don't do anything, as it happens to every saya ever made if you use the things! lol).

The first way is to simply use a black texta to color in any scratches, it's a quick fix and doesn't stand up to close observation, but tends to do the job.

The second way is more time consuming and demanding and would involve sanding, reshaping and then applying a lacuqer. There are some basic instructions on the net as to how to do this, here's something to get you started.

Hope this helps!

Enjoy your sword, the 9260 Katana sure are fun..!
