Stock Status Indicator Is Misleading

Around the 4th of July weekend I ordered a bamboo katana and their site says "usually ships in 1-2 days." Right after I placed the order their system tells me the sword is on backorder and they say they have no idea as to when they will get it. I checked with another site who deals only with Paul Chen swords and they are also out of stock but at least they were able to give me a time frame of 1-2 months.
