What medieval/celtic type swords are the most safe yet ecomical.

QUESTION: I would like to buy a good medieval cutter/practice. Preferably 30" or under. My experience & understanding is you should not practice with a sword that will touch the ground. But then again thats also a personal preferance. One more question. Is Real Armour Of God a reputable company? Thanx Barry.

ANSWER: Hi Barry,

Personally, I would recommend for a medieval cutter either Hanwei or Generation 2. Darksword Armory make some good blades in this price range too, but they are not sharpened.

In the SBG Review Map I have listed several swords with good properties there that should fit the bill.

As to Real Armor of God, yeah - I have heard they are ok. Never done any business with them personally though, and generally recommend people have a look in the Buyers Directory when attempting to select a vendor with a good track record.

Hope this helps.

- Paul
