Sword Buyers Digest - April 2026, Issue #210 April 01, 2026 |
Hey,Issue # 210, April Fools Day 2026This month’s update lands on April Fools’ Day, which is almost poetic given the state of things here at SBG. We’re still standing - barely - and still working around the clock on SBG 2.0, even though it will take a few more months before there’s anything meaningful to show. And honestly, there’s not much point sharing any grand plans for the future today anyway… no one would believe them on April 1st. The truth is simple: we’re fighting through the hardest stretch in SBG’s history. April is shaping up to be a genuine make‑or‑break moment, and the possibility of total business collapse is very real. Last month, many of you stepped forward with donations that kept us alive long enough to keep pushing. We are deeply grateful - your support didn’t just help financially, it reminded us that this community still cares about what SBG stands for. But the situation remains extremely difficult, and we’re grinding away behind the scenes, building a future we might not be around to see unless we somehow make it through these next few months. And yet… we’re still here. Still fighting. Still believing that if we can just get past this brutal stretch, what waits on the other side looks genuinely promising. It’s going to take a few minor miracles, a lot of stubbornness, and maybe a bit of luck - but we haven’t given up, and we’re grateful to everyone who’s walked this journey with us so far. And in true April Fools’ tradition, stay tuned for exciting updates on our scalar‑powered laser swords, as well as our exclusive line of orc‑forged blades handcrafted by an actual tribe of orcs deep in the Amazon jungle. As soon as we get past this crisis, we’ll be sure to ship them right out. Thanks for sticking with us - even on a day when no one believes anything anyway.
Thanks again folks and (hopefully!) see you next issue (where we hope to be showing you the first real sneak peeks into SBG2.0!). Until then, stay safe and Happy Swordening.. - Paul |
