Good News and Bad News...
March 06, 2006
Hi,

Hope this rather informal edition of the Sword Buyers Digest finds you well.

I know I said that there wasn't going to be any editions of the Digest during the overhaul, but there have been a few major events that I'd like to keep you up to date with.

Of course, if you've been reading my blog - you'll probably have a good idea of what is going on already. But if you haven't - there are basically 2 major "news items" you need to know. So what do you want to hear first, the good news or the bad news...?

Ok, well let's start off with the good news...

The good news is the SBG Overhaul is pretty much on track.

Well - actually, I lost last weekend thanks to a telecommunications fault that saw me without a phone or internet access from Friday to Monday (serves me right for bragging in my blog that things were ahead of schedule - If there's one thing I should have learned in my 32 years of existence is not to tempt fate! hehe). Despite this, yes, things are coming along slowly but steadily much as I expected and the overhaul should be very close to 'complete' by the end of March...

And now the bad news, which concerns the famous 15% SBG Discount with my friends over at Arms of Valor...

Unfortunately, as of midnight the 15th of March 2006, I have had no choice but to drop this deep discount back down to a more sustainable 10%...

Now a 10% discount at Arms of Valor is still a very, very good deal, after all, their prices are very competitive to begin with. And if you do some price comparisons, you'll see that on the Windlass and Generation 2 swords AoV has on offer, these are still the very best prices on the 'net.

But if you want to get some cool swords at 15%, you'll need to get your orders in ASAP. Because I assure you that this deep discount level will NOT be repeated!

(I will be able to bring you a 15% discount on one sword per month - in other words a featured "sword of the month" which I'll let you know about in each issue of the Sword Buyers Digest. But the 15% across the board discount on all Windlass and Gen2 swords will be history at midnight 15th of March...)

Anyway, just thought I'd give you one last chance to save some money on these swords.

I've got to get back to overhauling my pages on Japanese swords (and boy, there's gonna be some very BIG and exciting changes there) so while a lot of these changes will be occurring behind the scenes as I draft out what will go there before it goes "live" - rest assured that it won't be too long.

To keep up to date with what's going on - check out my blog here.

In the meantime, stay safe and have fun with swords!
