First Impressions of Katanas

QUESTION: Hi, i was wondering if you could give me your advice on two katanas. Appearance and Quality wise.

The first is by handmadeswords.com and the second is at Blades UK
(its the brown one at the bottom)

ANSWER: Hi Simon,

Both are pretty similar. I don't know much about the blades UK sword, but handmadeswords have been a recent topic of discussion on my forum here

Personally, considering the confusion created by the UK sword ban, I wouldn't want to import and swords, so definitely recommend going with blades UK regardless. I doubt there is much difference between the swords, and if you have a problem, you can of course always ship it back to the domestic seller.
