same wrap

QUESTION: Are there any place that sell katanas with full same wrap? It seems most places sell them with panels.

ANSWER:Hi Charlie,

Not in the sub US$300 price range. A same (ray) skin costs around US$70 each once treated, and a ful wrap is generally too expensive for a sword under the US$300 price point (hence the use of panels - some of which are offcuts, they use as much of the skin as possible to make it cost effective).

The more $$$ you spend, the higher the chance of getting a full wrap - and if it doesn't say in the vendors description, drop them a line and ask.
