Jun 12, 2009, Coming up...
Hey all,
Just a quick note to let you know that while things are quiet on the surface update wise, behind the scenes there is some frantic activity!
Besides a mountain of paperwork that needs to be done, special projects that I am working on, and doing some sword testing and preparing several new reviews - I am also concentrating on giving our sister site Sword Manufacturers Guide.com a much needed facelift and content boost, so please bear with me - I haven't forgotten about SBG and you should be seeing some new activity here within the next week or so!
Thanks,
Paul Southren

May 22, 2009, SBG Custom Katana - Now Accepting New Orders!
Hey folks,
I've finally emailed everyone on the SBG Custom Katana waiting list the good news - we are finally accepting new orders for the $330 SBG Custom Katana (the last time we accepted new commissions was back in February, and these have finally left the forge and will soon be making their way to their new homes).
To make the selection process easier, I also added a new Custom Katana Gallery Page which features quite a few customer designs and even has some prototypes for sale, ready to go out the door for just $299.99 SHIPPED (free in Canada and the USA) - so for anyone who wonders what the stock photos look like when assembled on a sword, this will give you a pretty good idea...
Anyway, as you may know we only have a limited number of slots availble to accept new comissions on this run, and they are already filling up fast - meaning that I won't be able to keep accepting new designs for much longer.
So if this is something you are interested in or have been waiting for, now is most definitely the time to take action.

Apr 25, 2009, Quick Update
Hey all,
Sorry that there hasn't been all that much activity on the site over the last week or so.
With the SBG Custom Katana arriving after a lengthly delay (as seen on the dedicated custom Katana blog here), Valiant armoury backorders from the SBG Sword Store coming in and something like 80-100 emails coming in about it all every day, I haven't had much time to add as many new reviews and articles to the site as I had originally planned.
But don't worry, we'll be back on track again shortly - once I have written next months issue of the sword buyers digest of course..!!
Talk to you all again soon.
Best,
- Paul

Apr 10, 2009, Happy Easter!
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd wish you all a happy Easter - and it is an especially happy easter for us, as we just received word that the long awaited Valiant Armoury Gus Trim designed swords, including the Kriegschwert (pictured below), Bristol and Longsword/Arming sword have landed and are shipping out!
Most of these have already been spoken for in pre-orders, but there are a few left, so if you want one, you had better get in quick (most of the pre-orders have been shipped, but the rest will go out after easter).
Check them out at the SBG Sword Store here
