Kingofswords.com- Any good?

QUESTION: Hi Paul! I got another question for you. This will be my third one. Hope I'm not a bother, just trying to help you build your FAQ's. :-) Anyways, my question is about this one sword website, kingofswords.com. Is it any good? I checked it out and they seem to have very reasonable shipping charges, but though I'm not to sure. Thanks!

I've never dealt with these guys personally and have mixed reports on their customer service.

I'll leave this one alone to see if anyone else wants to comment...

Liars, Cheats DO NOT BUY HERE!!!!!! NEW

My mistake wasn't googling their name before buying. I believe the comment below to be them trying to counteract the TONS of awful reviews and reports to the BBB, FBI and other agencies. Search "Kingofswords scam" you'll see. I ordered a month ago I waited 3 weeks still no update on my order. I emailed them and ONLY THEN did they say:

"We apologize for the extended delay in shipping your order. We had an issue with our supplier getting restocked. The issue has been resolved and we anticipate having your order shipped later in the week. We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patience."

SUUUURE. So I wait another 10 days and send them another email demanding my money back. They then send me a tracking number that was obviously just them printing a shipping label out so the number would generate. The number doesn't show up on FEDEX.com yet because it wasn't actually mailed yet. Now this shipping label will sit on some guys desk for who knows how long and they can say "we shipped your order" but it's all BS! Buyer beware and STAY AWAY!!!

Ive ordered 3 times my only complaint is shipping was a little slow one of the three times. However when I emailed them they always answered me the same day.

I give them a 8 out of 10.

In the words of the immortal Admiral Ackbar, it's a trap. This site is naught but a scam. I attempted (i.e., failed) to contact them after several weeks of waiting for a simple display sword. It may be a good-looking site, they may proclaim themselves to be legit, but they are not. Don't fall into their trap.

I ordered a few items from this company. To be completely honest, I thought they were legit and nice when I first saw them, which ultimately led me to "buy" items from them. Well, after many e-mails, all I get are bullcrap replies. I'm requesting cancellation of the order and my money back, but judging from all of the complaints, that won't do me any good. They'll ultimately get the money and I'll ultimately get NOTHING.


Please, don't follow in my footsteps, people. Don't order ANYTHING from this company. Boycott them.

Also report them to as many legitimate sites as possible to prevent further scams.

NO!!!! Don't buy from them. I had ordered three blades from the King of Swords. A $332.40 rip off. I made the mistake of not reporting it to the credit card company from lack of knowledge and better judgement. The Better Business Bureau is doing what they can, but can't seem to contact them at all. This transaction has been going on since September 2008. They sent me e-mails as well after I kept inquiring them about my blades to eventually, I had to request a refund. Well, folks, since December 2, 2008. I am still waiting and out of luck at the moment. No money! Take a lesson from me. They are unethical in their business attitude and practices especially in terms of communications. Buyer Beware!

Myself, I got lucky and got a charge back after contacting their web server at abuse@planet.com

It is time that we with complaints contacted http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
international net crime report

and had this site shut down. With the number of complaints against this company why is the FBI not involved? Because they are not getting enough complains. In my opinion they must be hiding money from internal revenue. They do not ship and keep the money so there is probably tax charges here.

Yes, They Still Suck

I've also experience trouble with kingofswords.com.

They immediately charged me for a purchase without notifying me of its backorder status.

Then, I cancelled the order after figuring out it wasn't in stock, which I only found out because I bothered asking them about the order status--and even then, they tried working around directly stating it was on backorder by saying it was part of their "fulfillment que."

It all went downhill from there, and I have not yet received my refund.

At the time of this writing, the Better Business Bureau has given kingofswords.com a rating of F.

Also, if you google "kingofswords.com," you can immediately find links to dissatisfied reviews on the first page.

King of swords riped me and my step son off

I made order with them for $285.oo dollars back in june 10th 2008. I sent them a money order and they told me they received it,so I thought it was all good and they said my order would not take too long like 6,7 weeks the most, so 8 weeks pass no order nothing in my email from these theives,so I ask whats going on with my order, they say a problem with the supplier and customs ,they are working with all the orders at custem doing 1 box at a time,so I emailed back said how long they said a couple weeks,so again I wait and nothing from them, so again I email them I m loseing patients now, I want my money back. so they said we are so sorry they have my order and its on its way, so I cancelled the refund figureing its coming, now Im waiting for my swords and stars to come. 2 stars show up and nothing else, so Im like , this is bad, I get two five dollar stars wheres the rest,they say sorry we could only send a parcel order and the rest they are still waiting for,Ive hade it with these guys, now with the lies and stuff I felt like a fool ,so I ask them for a refund for the rest that would be $275.00 they say no problem and will get it right away,,Im telling you my word these guys are real crooks because they been saying that since september I will get a refund and they ignore me now, we are in jan 2009 and I feel very depressed and helpless with these people,my step son did a order at the same time with a credit card and he got riped off has well,if theres anyone out there that can help us please email me at kronis420@hotmail.com thanks

I bought a katana set form them and all I have recieved after 3 months is nothing except one e-mail after i theartened to cancel the phone number is a joke unless u speak busy signal all in all take your money else where unless you just want a headache.

i have found numerous articles about this site in which they rip people off. they take there money then never send them the items purchased. then they dont respong to emails or phone calls. DONT buy from this site.

Hello Jarrod I have delt with kingofswords before and it took me one month to get my sword and on top of that I tried to email call and everything to get ahold of them and I got no feedback from them. They finaly answered an email and said they had problems with their ware house they said they would ship it asap but when they did ship it, it came in 4 days which is pretty good. But idk if they wiil have the ware house problem again I sure hope not. I would buy from them again... I think I just got unlucky
