SBG custom vs. Hanwei Shinto?

Is there a significant difference in the quality of the two swords.. Functionally and aesthetically? I'm buying my first Katana and would like A high quality piece, Don't care all that much to customize. THANKS

The SBG custom katana has a nicer blade, same steel but a real hamon while the Shinto is acid etched..

The cotton ito on the Shinto is a better cotton than what we use on the SBG, but otherwise they are fairly similar in quality. If you do not care about customization, probably best to get the Shinto as there is not such a long wait as there is for the custom katana series.
